DJ FROM MARS
SUNDAY 11PM

DJ’s From Mars are two deejays (Aqualuce and Ventafunk) who landed, for random reasons, at the same time, in the same place, in BlissCo. Studios, on planet Earth. Their first sonic experiment is generated in 2004, and goes by the name of “Non Dormo Più”. Earth reaction is nice (the single appears on 5 compilations and goes straight to the highest charts positions). Soon after, “Open Sesame” and “Kipo Mambo” are released, and the alien DJ’s are play-listed outside of Italy too. After a break for personal reasons, they come back with “The Motherf@&ker”. It’s the digital age and the track has an international flavor that brings DJ’s From Mars onto the charts of several online music stores on the planet.
The next episode is “Who Gives a F@&k about deejays” that gets them noticed by some top house DJ’s in Europe, and brings remix requests from France (Armand de France – “I Say Ride On”) in Germany (Alex Megane – “Hurricane 2008”).
The following step is the remake of an old dance track called “Dirty Mary” that receives airplay on top dance stations in Italy and Europe. In the meantime, the DJ’s start a remix collaboration with Brazilian DJ and label owner Diovanni. They also join their label mates Freakadelika, with the remix of “I Don’t Like It”, and dB Pure, who has his tracks “All Night Long” and “Falling Down” remixed by the Martians. DJ’s From Mars continue working without a break. “Saturday Night On The Moon” is a the next song, featured in compilations in Germany and Italy, and receives airplay on radio and in clubs in Eastern Europe. In the meantime they give birth to the side project “Sashimi Planet”, which incorporates the melodic and pop soul of the duo. The first single is called “Lonely Satellite” and there is a follow-up release called “Shelter”.
2009 starts with a progressive mood for the aliens. Their new single is called “Suono e Immagine” and it is a space travel that will take them into the new year. After just a couple of weeks they start working with dB Pure on a new single, “Revolution Radio”, and after a short time it’s licensed on a big compilation in Germany. The year continues with big news. They go pop while they produce the main mix of “Diventa Come Un Fiore” by Dari, an Italian band that is climbing every kind of TV and radio chart. Absolutely Records, asks for a remix on their track “Show Me The Way” with vocals by Sharon May Linn. They also have remix requests from Canada’s label, Peak Hour Music, and they work on a track by DJ Jake Chec from Executive Mix. The song is “Breathe”. They also have a strong release with the club hymn from their label, Bliss Corporation, “Blue (Da Ba Dee)” released in May 2009, with mixes by DJ’s From Mars and Gabry Ponte.
In the meantime they produce several bootlegs for their gigs, and some of them gain the interest of All Music (the second music network in Italy after MTV) that starts broadcasting their mixes. At the same time, they start working with Starshit Rec. They put their hands on Rico Bernasconi’s “Love Deep Inside”, and they are about to release “Don’t Give up”, a remake of the massive 90’s club hit by Chicane and Bryan Adams.
And they’re still at work…
In the 2009 the were involved in numerous German releases with their remixes, such as “Hit The Dust” by Rico Bernasconi, “Teenage Dirthouse” by Patric McFly and the remix of the Billboard’s listed artist Bobby Blue with “All The Stars” in the USA. They were added to Bob Sinclar’s Radio Show in France with their bootleg of Jay Z feat. Rihanna and Kanye West vs. Johann Sebastian Bach "Run This Town” and “Fugue In D Minor"
In 2010 they are at work on several remixes, Britney Spears cover of “3” by The Real Booty Babes, “Ocean Of Love” by Darren Bailie from Guru Josh Project featuring Damae from Fragma and “Waiting For Tonight” by Ekowraith, “Zombie 2010” by Andrew Spencer. They also release “Luv 2 Like It” with Rico Bernasconi
At the moment they are working on new releases.
