Welcome to the PULSE 87 “TechTake-Out Window”!  You no longer need to be in front of a computer to listen to PULSE 87!

Find everything you need right here to take PULSE 87 out and listen in your car, on a clock radio, table radio or pump it through your home music system!

If your car has an auxiliary input on the radio, typically labeled “AUX”, you can plug your smart phone directly into your car’s sound system through its headphone jack.  All you need is a short cable with “mini jacks” on each end.  This is the easiest and cheapest way to connect your phone (or MP3 player) to your car stereo.

You can pick up an FM converter or FM modulator that will let you play your smart phone through your FM radio.  Please note that FM Modulators will typically provide superior performance but they require a little more work to install in your car.  The FM Transmitters are pretty much “plug and play” but they may be affected by local radio stations on the same frequency.

Remember, when you purchase any of these items, please do so through the links on the “Tech Take Out Window” pages here on the PULSE 87 site.  When you do, it helps to support the radio station.

 INTERNET RADIOS

Check out any of the following Internet radios. If you have a broadband connection in your home or office…wired or wireless…these radios will let you listen to PUSLE 87.

Many have the same functionality as a clock radio and they will also receive Internet radio stations. Select the correct type of radio for the internet connection at your location.

FM MODULATORS

Got a smart phone?? Get the PULSE 87 APP and you can listen on your car radio!! Not bad! If you don’t have an AUX input on your car’s sound system, pick up an FM Converters or Modulator, plug it in and you’re ready to go.

Choose from the models below and find the right one for your phone. There are several that are designed exclusively for use with an iPhone and others that are “universal” and will work with phones that have a headphone jack.

Check out the videos below for more information.  They show different ways to set up your iPhone, Blackberry or Droid to play through your car radio as well as some of the pros and cons of each.
